Bloomberg Expert Sets Date for Commencement of Ethereum ETF Trading
Renowned Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas recently disclosed the start date for trading Ethereum spot ETFs, an event eagerly anticipated by the market.
In an update posted on the social media platform X, Balchunas revealed that the SEC has finally responded to the applications of spot ETF companies. The SEC has requested these companies to submit their final S-1 forms and compensation details by Wednesday. Following this, the SEC expects to process the applications after the market closes on Monday, with trading commencing on Tuesday, July 23.
Balchunas did, however, caution that this timeline is contingent upon there being no unforeseen last-minute issues.
Interestingly, July 23, the proposed start date for Ethereum Spot ETF approvals, coincides with the largest Bitcoin conference of the year.
Although ETH Spot ETFs were approved on May 23, their S-1 form approval was slightly delayed by the SEC due to their unreadiness for trading.
