Trump Media and Technology Group Signs Deal with Cryptocom to Launch Altcoin ETFs
Trump Media and Technology Group, the company behind US President Donald Trump’s media company Truth Social, has signed a deal with exchange Cryptocom to launch altcoin ETFs.
Accordingly, Trump Media completed its agreement with Cryptocom and Yorkville America Digital in March to launch a series of ETFs and ETPs through its Truth.Fi brand.
Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP will advise the parties on the development and launch of the products.
The proposed ETFs will hold a select basket of digital assets including Bitcoin, Cronos (CRO) and other cryptocurrencies.
The ETFs will include digital assets and U.S.-focused securities. The ETFs are scheduled to launch later this year, subject to regulatory approval.
The ETFs are expected to be available in major markets including the United States, Europe and Asia through brokerage firms.

Following the completion of the previously announced deal, the popular exchange’s altcoin Cronos (CRO) gained up to 10% in minutes but gave back most of its gains.
