The largest altcoin, Etheruem (ETH), failed to meet expectations and fell behind Bitcoin.
While BTC broke records by exceeding its 2021 ATH, ETH still has not surpassed its previous ATH. However, the situation may be changing for Ethereum as well.
Is a Big Rally Coming for Ethereum?
CryptoQuant analyst stated in his analysis that the expected rally signals for ETH have arrived. Accordingly, the analyst noted that he saw a significant outflow of over 85,000 ETH from Binance just before the Ethereum price surpassed $1,900.
According to the analyst, 85 thousand ETH withdrawn from Binance could be a signal of a bull market and a big price increase. “Because historically, such significant pullbacks have often heralded price rallies because they reduce liquidity and result in thinner sell-side order books, creating an environment conducive to upward price action.”
The analyst also said that Tether minted $1 billion worth of USDT on the Tron (TRX) blockchain just before the price surge of ETH on May 7, which is also a sign of capital inflows, as this usually reflects demand from institutional or OTC desks preparing to enter the market.
” Conclusion: Strong bullish formation is evident for Etheruem. “The combination of a large outflow of ETH from Binance and the entry of $1 billion worth of USDT into circulation suggests that institutional accumulation and liquidity are poised for an uptick. This can be interpreted as a bullish signal.”
CryptoQuant also noted that ETH is now extremely undervalued compared to BTC for the first time since 2019. “Historically, this has led to Ethereum outperforming. However, supply pressures, weak demand, and sluggish activity could delay the recovery.”
