OKX Responds to Hacking Claims: Compensations Issued, Allegations Dismissed!

OKX, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, released a statement addressing claims of a recent hacking incident targeting some of its customers.
The exchange clarified that the breach was limited in scope, with certain accounts being accessed through fraudulent means. Compensation has been provided to the affected users.
OKX refuted accusations of a security breach and assured ongoing investigations into the matter.
“Regarding recent security incidents involving individual customer accounts:
“All users impacted by this incident have been promptly addressed.”
In a recent tweet, OKX reiterated its commitment to user security, emphasizing the importance of utilizing Google Authenticator for added protection.
Despite reports surfacing on social media over the weekend, OKX stood firm in denying any association with Google Authenticator or SMS verification in relation to the breach.
Furthermore, OKX confirmed that compensation has been disbursed to affected users and pledged to continue compensating those impacted by the hacking incident.
Chinese cryptocurrency reporter Wu Blockchain shared that two users affected by the breach have received full compensation from OKX.
