Rıdvan Kahraman, a man who shot his wife in the head and killed her after she left their home in the Konak district of Izmir, has revealed the details of the tragic event. He stated that he had a dispute with his wife over their cryptocurrency investments, which ultimately led to him shooting her during the argument.
According to reports from Sabah, the incident took place in the Konak district of Izmir at around 10:40 pm on June 21. Rıdvan Kahraman, aged 32, called his wife Fatma Kahraman, aged 31 and mother of 3 children, who had left their home and gone to stay with her sister, outside to talk. It was during this conversation that Rıdvan Kahraman shot his wife Fatma Kahraman three times, resulting in her tragic death.
Subsequently, Sabah obtained the statement of the arrested Rıdvan Kahraman. In his statement, Rıdvan Kahraman expressed, “I took out a loan and invested in cryptocurrency. I lost 150 thousand liras in crypto. This led to an argument with my wife. I told her that I had paid off the loan and that we had no remaining debt. However, when my wife saw my account, she realized that I had been lying. This led to another argument, during which I killed my wife. I shot her, and I regret it,” he stated.
