Binance, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has achieved a historic milestone as the first in its field to surpass 200 million registered users globally. This accomplishment comes just two years after reaching the 100 million user mark.
In a statement of gratitude to the platform’s user community, Binance CEO Richard Teng acknowledged the support by saying, “We have reached a milestone of 200 million Binance users. This achievement would not have been possible without our incredible community. Thank you from the depths of our hearts.” Teng also expressed optimism for the future, stating, “The journey towards 1 billion users continues. Let’s grow together.”
Richard Teng, a Singaporean industry expert, took over from Changpeng Zhao in November to spearhead global compliance efforts for Binance. Teng, who initially led Binance Singapore before becoming head of regional markets last May, previously served as CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market.
