Germany’s government has once again sold a large amount of Bitcoin (BTC), transferring a total of 282.74 BTC worth approximately $17.64 million to popular exchanges Bitstamp, Coinbase, and Kraken. In addition, they also transferred 550 BTC worth $34.33 million to an unknown address.
This comes after the German government sold 400 BTC worth approximately $25.28 million to the same exchanges the day before. Currently, the German government holds a total of 43,859 BTC worth $2.74 billion.
The recent BTC sales by the German government have garnered attention, as they have transferred over 3,000 BTC to cryptocurrency exchanges in the past two weeks. Initially, these sales caused a slight decrease in the BTC price, but experts believe that the impact has been minimal due to the relatively small amount of recent transactions.
