Elon Musk, a supporter of Dogecoin, discusses XRP. Is there a statement of support?
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and a prominent supporter of Dogecoin (DOGE), recently made headlines for his support of Donald Trump. He has attended Trump’s rallies in various locations, including a recent rally in Pennsylvania. During this event, Musk was asked about his thoughts on Ripple (XRP), but he chose to remain neutral and did not express support for XRP like he has for DOGE.
What did Elon Musk say about XRP?
A participant asked Musk about his opinion on whether XRP should be integrated into the global financial system, considering the SEC’s hostile stance towards cryptocurrencies under the Biden administration. Musk did not take a stance on XRP specifically, but he expressed a general opinion about the role of cryptocurrencies, stating:
“I am not actively involved in cryptocurrencies. However, I find cryptocurrencies interesting and believe they are a valuable asset to combat central control. This does not mean I endorse or oppose XRP, but I do believe that crypto inherently promotes individual freedom.”
While Elon Musk has been a vocal advocate for cryptocurrency technology, particularly Dogecoin (DOGE) and Bitcoin (BTC), his companies Tesla and SpaceX still hold Bitcoin purchased in 2021 and accept Dogecoin as a payment method for their products.
