Pro-Bitcoin Bill Becomes Law in the USA: BTC Supported, CBDCs Banned!
The USA has taken a major step towards supporting Bitcoin by passing a pro-Bitcoin bill in the state of Louisiana. The bill, known as Bill 488, has received bipartisan approval and has been signed into law by Governor Jeff Landry. This new legislation aims to protect access to Bitcoin while also placing restrictions on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).
Representative Mark Wright and Senator Jean-Paul Coussan sponsored the bill, which aims to make it easier for individuals and businesses to use Bitcoin. The law ensures that individuals can safely hold their BTC and allows businesses to spend and accept Bitcoin without facing legal barriers.
Furthermore, the law prohibits the state of Louisiana from accepting payments in CBDCs. Instead, it supports Bitcoin mining in industrial areas to attract investment and strengthen the state’s economy. By taking this stance, Louisiana aims to create a supportive environment for digital currencies and set an example for other states.
This pro-Bitcoin bill is a significant development in the United States and demonstrates growing support for cryptocurrencies. It is expected to have a positive impact on the adoption and acceptance of Bitcoin in the country.
