Vitalik Buterin, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, has strongly refuted allegations that he has been selling ETH. In response to a comment suggesting that he should stop selling, Buterin stated that he has not sold any ETH in the past month and even claimed that his ETH holdings have increased.
Buterin was also questioned about the sales made by the Ethereum Foundation, which has been the subject of recent discussions. He explained that the Foundation uses the funds generated from these sales to pay its researchers, emphasizing the importance of this for the development of ETH. Buterin listed several benefits that have been made possible by the payments made by the Foundation. These include the prevention of inflation of 5 million ETH per year through Ethereum’s Proof of Work system, low transaction fees, faster transaction times, the Zk Tech feature for secret use of ETH, account abstraction technology for secure usage, local ETH events, zero downtime due to DoS attacks and consensus errors since 2016, and various security efforts to prevent funding losses.
