At the beginning of May, Keith Gill, the stock trader and analyst famously referred to as “The Roaring Kitty” on social media, who was a major figure behind the GameStop hype in late 2020, reappeared in the financial markets after a hiatus of three years.

After a more than three-year absence, Roaring Kitty returned to Reddit and sparked a rise in select altcoins.
Sharing on Reddit, Gill disclosed a $181.4 million investment in GameStop (GME), causing a significant uptick in the GME stock price.
Furthermore, Gill’s post led to a surge in the value of certain altcoins. Meme tokens with the names GME, ROAR, and KITTY experienced substantial increases following Gill’s announcement, with gains of up to 315%, 840%, and 500% respectively.
As of the time of writing, GME is priced at $0.0129; KITTY remains at $0.0144, and ROAR at $0.0018.
Following these surges, an investor sold 3.5 million GME at $0.01226 for 260 SOL ($43 thousand).
According to Lookonchain, this investor, skilled in buying GME at low prices and selling at high values, still holds $1.5 million worth of GME.
