Famous Nigerian singer Davido has entered the cryptocurrency market by launching his own memecoin called “DAVIDO,” which managed to earn him half a million dollars within just a few hours.
The introduction of the DAVIDO token and the quick profit made by the Nigerian singer, who is notorious for his fraudulent activities, caused quite a stir in the market. In response to this, Solana’s official X account tweeted a welcome message to Davido, the fraudulent singer from Nigeria.

The tweet from Solana also garnered reactions from crypto investors. Additionally, ZachXBT pointed out that Davido had previously supported various pyramid schemes.
The Solana-based memecoin, DAVIDO, experienced a significant surge and subsequent decline within a short period of time. It was launched through a pump and dump scheme, with Davido spending 7 SOL to acquire 20.3% of the total token supply. After the price soared, he sold some of his DAVIDO tokens, resulting in a profit of 2,791 SOL ($474.4 million). Currently, Davido still holds 43.25 million DAVIDO tokens, making him the largest individual holder, accounting for 4.32% of the total supply.
